Gravity Solids Separation

Quiescent Settling

Settling tanks provide a quiescent zone where solids can settle out of suspension by gravity. The optimised geometry promotes laminar flow conditions, allowing particles to settle to the bottom while clarified water overflows at the top. Integrated sludge collection systems remove settled solids for further processing.

Settling tanks are fundamental to water and wastewater treatment, providing primary solids removal after coagulation and flocculation. Our designs feature optimised inlet and outlet configurations to minimise turbulence, sloped bottoms for efficient sludge collection, and optional lamella plates to increase settling area and improve efficiency.
