Place it correctly and you mix the entire water column with no scour; place it wrongly and you resuspend sediment, release internal phosphorus, iron and manganese, and waste air.

Two Diffusers in the Same Basin Do Not Deliver the Same Result

The same diffuser hardware can fully destratify a reservoir — or scour its bed and re-release the very contaminants you are trying to control — depending purely on where it is placed and how high it sits above the sediment.
