From first enquiry to long-term aftercare, our project process is designed to give you certainty: certainty of compliance, of delivery programme, of operating requirement, and of technical performance.
From process design and equipment supply through installation, commissioning and handover, we deliver complete treatment plants as a single-responsibility turnkey package — one contract, one accountable partner, and a defined performance guarantee.
Explore Turnkey DeliveryThe process begins with a conversation — by phone, email, or site visit. We need to understand your compliance obligation (consent limits and timeline), your wastewater or water characteristics (flowrate, COD, SS, nutrients, specific contaminants), your site constraints (footprint, power, civils budget), and your preferred procurement model (supply-only, design-build, turnkey, or operate). Within five working days we provide a written scope summary confirming our understanding and a high-level indication of technology direction. Contact us at our contact page.
For all but the smallest projects, we conduct a site assessment: reviewing existing treatment performance, taking representative samples for laboratory analysis, surveying civil and electrical infrastructure, and assessing the constraints on technology selection. The output is a feasibility report covering two or three technology options with order-of-magnitude capital and operating requirement estimates (AACE Class 5, ±50%). For complex projects, this stage includes a pilot testing programme to validate technology selection before committing capital. Feasibility studies are typically completed within 4–8 weeks of commissioning.
Following technology selection and budget approval, detailed design commences. This encompasses: process design (mass balance, equipment sizing, chemical selection); P&ID development and HAZOP review; mechanical design and equipment specifications; electrical and SCADA design; plant layout and general arrangement drawings; and procurement of long-lead equipment. Our design team uses CFD simulation for critical fluid dynamic calculations. A detailed design typically takes 8–16 weeks depending on project complexity.
Equipment is manufactured to our specifications by our preferred supply chain, with QA inspection at critical milestones. All pressure vessels are tested to 1.5× design pressure; all electrical panels are functionally tested before despatch. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) is conducted with the client’s representative witnessing all functional tests against an agreed test protocol. FAT is the opportunity to identify and resolve issues before equipment reaches site — eliminating the time and cost of site remediation.
Our commissioning team manages the transition from construction to operation. Cold commissioning (mechanical and electrical checks, instrument calibration, interlock testing) is followed by wet commissioning with process water, then biological start-up for activated sludge systems. We do not consider commissioning complete until the plant achieves its guaranteed performance against the agreed consent limits — not just a single ‘pass’ test, but sustained performance over the agreed performance period (typically 4–8 weeks). See our commissioning and support services.
Our relationship does not end at commissioning. We offer structured aftercare packages including: annual performance reviews and optimisation visits; remote monitoring and diagnostics via SCADA connectivity; scheduled preventive maintenance; emergency callout; spare parts holding; and operator training. Clients with aftercare agreements consistently achieve better long-term performance than those without — because treatment plant conditions change over time and the process must be adapted accordingly. See our maintenance services.
Typical project timeline: A standard industrial wastewater project (enquiry to commissioning) takes 28–52 weeks: feasibility 4–8 weeks, design 10–16 weeks, manufacturing 12–20 weeks, installation and commissioning 6–12 weeks. Emergency compliance projects can be accelerated using containerised modular equipment. Contact us as early as possible if you have a regulatory deadline — timeline is often the most constrained variable.
Every project includes a written performance guarantee: the plant will meet the agreed consent limits under agreed operating conditions. This is not a best-endeavours commitment — it is a contractual obligation backed by engineering design margins and operational know-how.
You work directly with the process engineers who designed your plant. There is no account manager layer between you and the technical expertise. When you call with an operational question, you speak with someone who understands your specific system.
We are headquartered in the UK with operations in the Netherlands, Poland, and Germany. We deliver projects across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, with local project management in each region. Our containerised and skid-mounted systems are designed for reliable operation anywhere in the world. See our hot-climate containerised systems.
Quarterly maintenance visits, 24/7 emergency response, and next-day spare parts dispatch across Europe keep your plant running at design performance throughout its operational life.
Send us your wastewater characteristics and compliance requirements — we’ll respond within two working days with an initial technical assessment.
