A private or community borehole can make an excellent drinking-water source — but only with a treatment train that brings iron, manganese, turbidity and hardness within limits and adds a reliable disinfection barrier. We design borehole potable plants to a clear, auditable compliance philosophy.
Matched to the measured borehole chemistry
Aeration and catalytic multimedia filtration bring Fe, Mn and turbidity below the aesthetic and health limits that otherwise cause discoloured water and complaints.
Hardness, pH and alkalinity are corrected as required — softening, or pH/remineralisation — so the supply is neither scaling nor aggressive to the pipework it feeds.
UV disinfection, or chlorination with adequate contact, provides the microbiological barrier a potable supply requires, sized to the flow and the source-risk assessment.
The plant is designed around the applicable drinking-water standard, with the sampling and monitoring that evidence ongoing compliance.
A potable borehole supply is designed around barriers: oxidation and filtration remove the metals and particles that carry both aesthetic failures and a turbidity shield for pathogens; disinfection then provides the microbiological barrier. The design is matched to a source-risk assessment — a confined deep aquifer is treated differently from a shallow borehole vulnerable to surface ingress — and to the applicable standard, whether a private-supply regulation or a full drinking-water specification. The aim is a supply that stays compliant unattended, with monitoring that proves it, rather than a filter that merely improves the taste.
