Packaged Water Treatment Plants

Complete pre-engineered water-treatment plants delivered as a single pre-commissioned package — intake, treatment, distribution, controls, on-board spares and a full operator handover — for remote villages, mining camps, expedition bases, satellite production sites and any installation where a year-long civils programme is not an option. Lift in, plug in, commission in days.

What a Packaged Plant Is

One Delivery, One Foundation, One Commissioning Visit

A packaged water-treatment plant is the maximum amount of treatment kit you can sensibly engineer into a single delivery. It differs from a generic containerised system in two ways: (a) it is sized to the duty rather than constrained to a 10′/20′/40′ ISO envelope, and (b) it includes everything peripheral to the treatment process itself — the chemical store, the on-board spares cupboard, the operator interface, the climate-control envelope, sometimes even a small accommodation interface for site visitors. The plant lands at site, sits on a single foundation, and runs from the day commissioning finishes.

What’s in the Package

Equipment Pre-Integrated in the Factory

Every package is engineered to a specific duty, but the building blocks below cover the equipment we install in roughly 80 % of packaged builds. Bespoke instrumentation, specialist treatment processes and accommodation-zone interfaces slot on top.

Raw-Water Intake & Pretreatment

  • Surface-water or borehole inlet pumps with redundant suction strainers
  • Coarse screening and sand-trap separation to protect downstream membranes
  • Flow equalisation tank sized for the design diurnal demand
  • Inlet flow meter, turbidity probe and emergency shut-off

Treatment Train

  • Pre-coagulation and flocculation for surface-water turbidity
  • Inclined-plate lamella clarifier or compact DAF for solids removal
  • Multimedia or membrane filtration for polishing
  • Granular activated carbon (GAC) for taste, odour and trace organics
  • UV disinfection and/or chlorination for pathogen control
  • Optional reverse-osmosis polish for high-purity duty

Chemical Dosing & Storage

  • Day tanks and bulk storage for coagulant, pH correction, disinfectant
  • Bunded chemical store sized for 30–180 days of consumption
  • Dosing pumps with flow-paced and pH-trim control
  • Spill containment and emergency-wash stations

Power Distribution

  • Step-down transformer, MCC, motor starters and UPS
  • Diesel generator with auto-changeover (optional solar-battery hybrid)
  • Plant-load shedding under generator-only conditions
  • Surge protection and isolation transformer for telemetry equipment

Control, SCADA & Telemetry

  • PLC with HMI; redundant comms (satellite + cellular)
  • Full SCADA integration to the operator’s shore room
  • Edge analytics for predictive maintenance and consumable forecasting
  • Alarm management with on-call rota tie-in

On-Board Spares & Operator Interface

  • Critical-spares kit: pump end, motor, key valves, instrument transmitters
  • Consumables: filter cartridges, membranes, chemicals for 6–12 months
  • Operator workstation, document storage, PPE locker
  • Optional kitchenette / rest area for visiting service engineers

Safety Systems

  • Fire detection, automatic suppression in plant-room zones
  • Gas detection (Cl₂, H₂S, LEL) where chemistry warrants
  • Lone-worker monitor and emergency-call interface
  • Bunded fuel and chemical storage with leak detection
