Continuous Filtration Technology
Our self-cleaning filters operate on an upward-flow filtration principle with continuous air-water backwash cleaning. Unlike conventional filters that require periodic shutdown for backwashing, our patented sand wash bath technology enables uninterrupted operation 24/7.
Raw water enters from the bottom and flows upward through the filtration media bed. Suspended solids, turbidity, iron, manganese compounds, and ammonium ions are captured as water passes through the graded filter media.
The patented sand wash bath system continuously removes captured contaminants from the filter media. Compressed air and water create a fluidized bed that lifts and cleans the media particles, releasing trapped solids.
Released contaminants are carried away with the wash water to a sludge collection system. The cleaned media returns to the filtration zone, maintaining consistent filtration performance without pressure drop increase.
Filtered water exits from the top of the unit, ready for use or further treatment. The continuous cleaning process ensures stable effluent quality regardless of influent variations.
