Mobile & Trailer Seawater DAF Pilots

When the algae are already blooming, a pilot in a shipping container booked for next quarter is no use to anyone. Our trailer-mounted and compact-skid DAF pilots exist for one reason: speed. A road-legal towable rig that mobilises in days lets you respond to a harmful algal bloom, run a fast site trial, or move between intakes on a comparison study — with the same DAF process and instrumentation as our larger containerised plants.

Speed Is a Process Advantage

Seawater quality is a moving target. The data that matters most — how DAF performs at the peak of a bloom, how coagulant demand swings week to week, whether a hydrocarbon slug from harbour traffic breaks through — only exists in narrow windows. A mobile rig is how you catch them. It tows to the intake, connects to feed and power, and starts logging while the event is still happening, then moves to the next site when the campaign ends. Same DAF cell, same saturator, same instrumentation as our containerised plants — just packaged to roll.

Fastest Mobilisation

Road-legal trailer or forkliftable skid — no port, no container crane, no special transport. On site in days.

Catch the Bloom

Be running at the peak of a harmful algal bloom, capturing the worst-case data the full plant must survive.

Multi-Site Trials

One rig, several candidate intakes — compare locations on identical equipment and the same operator.

Re-Deployable Asset

After the campaign it tows to the next project. The trailer outlives any single trial.

A Full DAF Process That Rolls

Feed & Strainer

Self-priming SS feed pump and auto strainer draw live intake water at the set rate.

Coagulation

Compact FeCl₃/PACl dosing with calibration column and bunded chemical store.

DAF Cell + Saturator

High-rate flotation cell with packaged saturator, recycle pump and oil-free compressor.

Optional UF

A bolt-on UF module where the trial needs SDI₃ data downstream of the DAF.

Control & Logging

PLC/HMI, online turbidity and remote 4G access so data flows even when the rig is remote.

Self-Contained

Single power inlet, generator-ready, weather hood over the working area — runs off-grid.

Where the Mobile Rig Earns Its Keep

Bloom Emergency

An operating SWRO plant hit by an unexpected red tide needs DAF data now to justify a retrofit. The trailer is on the intake within days.

Site Selection

A developer comparing three candidate intakes runs the same rig at each — removing equipment variability from the comparison.

Tender Deadline

A bid needs pilot evidence before submission. A fast trailer campaign delivers the data inside the tender window.

Chemistry Screening

Quick coagulant and dose screening on real water before committing to a longer containerised campaign.
