Sulphuric, Hydrochloric & Nitric Acid

Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4)

Concentrated sulphuric acid (93-98%) is the most efficient acid for pH reduction. One mole neutralises two moles of alkalinity. Ideal for wastewater with high pH (>10).

93-98% conc. 5-200 mg/L dose

Hydrochloric Acid (HCl)

Food-grade HCl (32%) adds chloride but no sulphate. Preferred for potable water, food processing, and applications where sulphate is undesirable.

32% conc. 10-150 mg/L dose

Nitric Acid (HNO3)

Used in fertilizer and explosive manufacturing effluent. Nitrate addition may require downstream advanced biological treatment for nitrogen removal.

60% conc. Specialist use

Citric Acid

Food-grade organic acid for gentle pH reduction in beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical applications. Biodegradable and non-hazardous.

Food-grade 50% soln.
