Rapid concentration and salt crystallisation from high-TDS brine through pressure let-down and thermal evaporation.
The Flash Evaporator rapidly concentrates brine by reducing pressure, causing instantaneous boiling and vaporization. Hot wastewater from upstream processes (WAO, boiler blowdown) enters a vessel at reduced pressure, flashing to steam which is condensed and recovered. Dissolved salts crystallise due to supersaturation and are removed by centrifuge or settling. The system achieves 85-95% water recovery from brine and produces dry salt crystals for sale or disposal. Integrates with MVR evaporators and ZLD systems.
Pressure let-down causes instantaneous boiling – no heat input required if feed >100°C.
Supersaturation drives crystal nucleation. Crystals separated by centrifuge at 85% purity.
Flash vapour condensed and returned to process. Hot condensate preheats incoming brine.
