High-pressure bubble-column reactor destroying extreme COD, toxins, and ammonia at 10-20 MPa and 200-320°C with integrated heat recovery.
The Wet Air Oxidation Reactor is a vertical high-pressure vessel engineered for aqueous-phase oxidation of extreme-COD wastewater. Wastewater and compressed air enter at 10-20 MPa and 200-320°C. Dissolved oxygen oxidises organics to CO2 and water, and ammonia to nitrogen gas. The reactor is clad in SS316Ti or duplex stainless steel for chloride resistance. Integrated heat exchangers recover exothermic heat to preheat incoming wastewater, reducing external energy by 50-70%. Suitable for COD 10,000-100,000 mg/L that cannot be treated biologically.
Operates at 10-20 MPa and 200-320°C – destroying organics and ammonia that resist all other treatment.
SS316Ti or duplex stainless steel cladding resists chloride attack from high-salinity wastewater.
Exothermic oxidation heat recovered via integrated heat exchangers, reducing energy input by 50-70%.
Pressure relief, temperature interlocks, oxygen monitoring, and emergency quench systems ensure safe operation.
