A hydro-sieve (or sidehill / run-down) screen is a static curved wedge-wire panel over which water flows by gravity; the slots draw clean water through while solids slide down the inclined face to a collection point. With no moving parts and no power, it is a simple, reliable fine separator for small intakes, low-flow duties, brackish pre-screening and stormwater overflows.
