Controlled Retention Time

Contact tanks provide the residence time necessary for chemical reactions to reach completion. Internal baffles create plug-flow conditions, preventing short-circuiting and ensuring all fluid elements receive the designed contact time for effective disinfection, coagulation, or chemical conditioning and treatment.

Contact tanks are engineered to provide precise hydraulic retention time (HRT) for chemical conditioning and treatment processes. The baffled design creates a serpentine flow path that maximises contact efficiency while minimising tank volume. These vessels are critical in water treatment for chlorine contact, in wastewater for disinfection, and in industrial processes requiring controlled chemical reaction times.
