The endless-belt fine screens that protect pumps, condensers and reverse-osmosis membranes at desalination, power-station and industrial water intakes — automated, fish-friendly and proven at the largest flows.
Fine Intake Screening for Desalination, Power & Industry
A travelling water screen is an endless belt of mesh baskets that rotates vertically through the intake channel, intercepting debris on its ascending face, lifting it to the top and spray-washing it into a debris trough before the cleaned baskets return down the back. It is the proven fine-screening workhorse at large desalination, power-station cooling and industrial water intakes — protecting pumps, heat exchangers and reverse-osmosis membranes from debris, with through-flow, centre-flow and dual-flow configurations and fish-friendly (Ristroph) options to suit the duty.
Matched to flow, debris and fish-protection duty
Flow passes straight through the ascending and descending faces — the original, most common type.
Water enters the centre and exits both faces, eliminating debris carryover for membrane-protected intakes.
Double-entry, single-exit doubles capacity in width-constrained channels with no carryover.
High-pressure wash strips debris into a trough each revolution.
Lifting buckets and low-pressure return release impinged fish alive.
316L, super duplex and Cu-Ni for seawater service.
