Decanter Centrifuge Dewatering

High-solids capture in a compact footprint. Decanter centrifuges achieve 20–28% cake solids with exceptional solids recovery exceeding 95%, making them ideal for dense, fibrous sludges and space-constrained sites.

How Decanter Centrifuge Dewatering Works

A decanter centrifuge uses centrifugal force to accelerate the separation of solids from liquid sludge. Conditioned sludge is fed into a rotating bowl where the high G-force drives solids to the bowl wall. A scroll conveyor transports the compacted solids toward the conical discharge end while clarified centrate overflows at the opposite end. The differential speed between bowl and scroll controls cake dryness. This continuous process achieves exceptional solids recovery with minimal footprint, making it the technology of choice for space-limited sites and dense sludges.
